Your Dashboard (the home screen)

Last updated

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in — your daily hub for food, calories, and weight, updating live as you log.

How it works

  1. Open the app and sign in. The Dashboard loads automatically as your home screen.
  2. Read your greeting at the top; it addresses you by name and adapts to the time of day.
  3. In the week calendar below the greeting, tap a date to view that day's data.
  4. On the Nutrition Card, check your remaining calories (in the center of the ring) and your macro progress.
  5. Swipe the card sideways to reach the second page with your Weight Progress chart.
  6. Scroll down to the row of four meal buttons — Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snack. Tap one to add food straight to that meal.
  7. Below it is your Feed: your most recent activity — meals you logged, workouts you finished, weight measurements, goal changes, and activity from your groups. Tap "See all" for a full overview of the past week.
  8. Pull down to refresh your meals, profile, daily summary, and weight.
  9. Tap the scan button at the bottom to open the camera and log a meal.

Good to know

  • The greeting changes with the time of day: Good morning (05:00–11:59), Good afternoon (12:00–17:59), and Good evening (18:00–04:59), based on your phone's clock.
  • Tapping any date in the calendar moves your calories and macros to that day. The Feed does not follow the date: it always shows your most recent activity. To see one specific day's meals, open the Food Diary. Every date is available — there is no limited free version.
  • In the Feed, each group of rows carries a day label — "Today" or "Yesterday" — so you can see at a glance when something happened.
  • The Feed shows your five most recent events, newest at the top. "See all" opens the full overview of the past seven days.
  • A workout row tells you what you did — the name and the duration — and never how many calories you might have burned. Movement only counts towards your daily goal through the "Adjust goal for activity" setting; outside that, Moveno never adds your training back onto your food.
  • For activity from a group you only see who did something, in which group, and when — never anyone's calories, macros, or weight. "Go to group" jumps to that group's feed.
  • The four meal buttons are always there, whether or not you've logged that meal yet. Tapping a row in the Feed opens the matching detail — for a meal, that's that day in your Food Diary. If you haven't logged anything yet, you'll see "Nothing logged yet" with a button to log your first meal.
  • A skeleton placeholder shows while data loads. The greeting waits for your profile so your name never flashes empty.
  • If your email isn't verified yet, a reminder banner appears. All core features keep working.
  • The Exercise row in the breakdown shows the active calories you've burned today, read from Apple Health or Health Connect. If "Adjust goal for activity" is on, those calories are added to today's goal. Without a connected health app, or with no active calories yet today, the row stays at 0.

Common questions

My dashboard is blank or stuck loading. Pull down to refresh and check your internet connection.

The greeting shows the wrong time of day. The greeting uses your phone's clock — check your time and timezone settings.

Why does Exercise show 0? No active calories have been read yet today. Connect Apple Health or Health Connect and allow read access to active calories. On Android, Moveno reads only "Active Calories" from Health Connect — if your data comes only from Google Fit, the row stays at 0.

My calories look wrong for a day. Make sure the correct date is selected in the week calendar.

I can't find a specific day's meals on the home screen any more. The home screen now shows your recent activity instead of a per-day list. Open the Food Diary and pick that day; all your meals are there, grouped by meal type.
