Terms of Service

These terms of service ("Terms") apply to the use of the Moveno website and the Moveno app ("Service"), operated by Moveno ("we", "us", "our"), based in the Netherlands.

By using our Service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

  • Service: the Moveno website (moveno.co) and the Moveno mobile application, including AI-assisted food and nutrition tracking, the fitness and workout features (including AI-generated workouts), health-app integration, and community groups
  • User: any person who uses the Service
  • Account: the personal account you create to use the Service
  • Content: all data you upload or enter, including photos, food logs, and workout logs

2. Use of the Service

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

2.2 Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential
  • You are responsible for all activities on your account
  • Report unauthorized use immediately via support@moveno.co

2.3 Permitted use

You may only use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You are not allowed to:

  • Use the Service for illegal activities
  • Circumvent or disrupt the security of the Service
  • Reverse-engineer or decompile the Service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) on the Service

3. Waitlist (pre-launch)

During the pre-launch phase, you can sign up for our waitlist by providing your email address. We will only use this to notify you about the launch of Moveno. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Subscriptions and payment

4.1 Free trial

All subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial ends, continued use of the paid features requires a subscription.

4.2 Pricing

Moveno is offered as a paid subscription following the 7-day free trial. Flexible options are available, including monthly and annual plans. Current pricing is presented at the point of purchase via the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store.

Prices are subject to change. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price changes.

4.3 Payment and renewal

  • Payments are processed through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel
  • You can cancel via the App Store or Google Play Store settings

4.4 Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw your subscription within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with European consumer protection law. This does not apply if you have fully used the Service with your express consent.

5. Intellectual property

5.1 Our rights

The Service, including the software, design, texts, and the "Moveno" brand name, is our property and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

5.2 Your content

You retain all rights to the content you upload (such as photos). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it for delivering the Service (such as recognizing food via AI).

Recipes you share with the community. If you choose to share a recipe with the community and we approve it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence, perpetual and irrevocable, to use, reproduce, adapt and translate that recipe — its name, ingredients, preparation steps and accompanying photo — for any purpose, including operating and promoting Moveno, marketing, and developing and improving our services (including training our models). This licence survives you editing or deleting your own version of the recipe, and survives the deletion of your account. You do not transfer your copyright: you remain the owner of your recipe and may keep using it yourself without restriction.

You confirm that the recipe is yours or that you are entitled to share it, and that it infringes nobody else's rights — so you may not submit text copied from a book, website or app. We are never obliged to publish a submitted recipe, and we may take a published recipe offline at any time and without giving a reason.

Your name. Your first name is shown alongside your published recipe in the app. You may ask at any time for it to be removed, and we do so automatically when you delete your account; the recipe then remains available without attribution. This licence gives us no right to use your name for advertising, promotion or endorsement — if we use a shared recipe in marketing, we do so without your name.

6. AI, nutrition, and fitness data

6.1 Not medical advice

The Service does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. The nutrition values we display are estimates based on our nutrition database and AI recognition. Always consult a doctor or dietitian for medical advice.

6.2 Accuracy

While we strive for accurate nutrition values, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. AI recognition may contain errors, and portion sizes are estimates.

6.3 Fitness and workouts

The fitness features — including AI-generated workouts, workout suggestions, and the PAR-Q+ pre-activity screening questionnaire — provide general, informational fitness guidance only. They are not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment plan, and are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified physician or other health or fitness professional. Physical activity carries inherent risks, and you participate at your own risk. Consult a doctor before starting any new exercise program, particularly if you have a medical condition, an injury, or any other health concern. Stop exercising and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, or other discomfort.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for damage resulting from temporary unavailability.

8. Liability

8.1 Limitation

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid to us in the past 12 months.

8.2 Exclusion

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect damage, consequential damage, or lost profits
  • Damage caused by incorrect nutrition values or AI recognition
  • Injury or damage arising from physical activity, exercise, or use of the fitness or workout features (including AI-generated workouts)
  • Damage resulting from unauthorized use of your account
  • Damage caused by force majeure

9. Termination

9.1 By you

You can delete your account at any time via the app settings or by contacting support@moveno.co.

9.2 By us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account in case of:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Abuse of the Service
  • Unlawful activities

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. In case of substantial changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via email or the app. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
