Building and logging a workout
Last updated
Build your own workout from the exercise library and log every set as you train.
You assemble a workout by picking exercises and adding sets, reps, and rest. While you train, Moveno guides you set by set.
How to build a workout
- Open Workouts and choose to create a new workout.
- Search and add exercises from the library. Each exercise has a short demo video, and search tolerates typos.
- Set your sets, reps, and rest per exercise. You can mark exercises as favorites and keep personal notes per exercise.
- Name your workout and save it. Moveno auto-creates a cover image, which you can replace with your own photo.
How to log a workout
- Start the workout to open the guided run.
- Tick off each set as you do it and enter your own weight and reps.
- Use the rest timer (with haptics) between sets, the plate calculator, and the spoken cues to stay hands-free.
- Finish the workout to see your summary, including new personal records and an estimated calorie cost (for information only).
Good to know
- You always enter your own weight. Moveno never prescribes a weight; as a reference you see "last time you did X kg × Y reps".
- Switch between kg and lb with one toggle in your profile settings. Moveno stores everything in kg and only converts the display.
- Can't do an exercise? Long-press it during the workout to swap to a safe alternative.
- Want your completed workouts in your health app too? Turn on the separate workout write-back toggle — see Log meals to your health app for how write-back works.
- A workout's estimated calories are never added to your eating budget.
Common questions
Why doesn't Moveno fill in my weight for me? By design: only you know what feels safe today. You see your previous weight as a reference and enter your own.
I lost my workout when the app crashed. Moveno saves your in-progress workout as you go. Reopen the app and you can recover from your last saved set.
Can I swap an exercise mid-workout? Yes — long-press the exercise and choose an alternative.
