A calorie goal that flexes with your activity
Last updated
Move more, eat more: Moveno reads the active calories you burn and adds them to your daily target.
If you allow Moveno to read your active calories, your daily goal shifts with how active you are. Burn 350 kcal, for example, and a goal of 2,000 becomes 2,350 today. This is controlled by the "Adjust goal for activity" toggle, which is on by default.
How it works
- Connect Apple Health or Health Connect and allow active-calories read access.
- Keep the "Adjust goal for activity" toggle on (it's on by default) in Profile → Preferences.
- Open the app — your active calories burned today are read and added to your goal automatically.
- See the adjusted goal and the burned amount (the "Beweging" / activity row) on your dashboard's nutrition card.
- Prefer a fixed goal? Turn "Adjust goal for activity" off.
Good to know
- The "Adjust goal for activity" toggle is on by default and switchable in Profile → Preferences.
- Your baseline goal is never reduced by this feature — activity can only raise today's target, never lower it.
- There's a safety limit: at most +1,500 kcal per day can be added from activity, to protect against sensor errors.
- Active calories are read when you open the app or bring it to the foreground — there's no continuous background tracking.
- On Android, Moveno reads only "Active Calories" from Health Connect. If your data comes only from Google Fit (which writes "Total Calories"), you'll correctly see activity 0 — Moveno does not add total calories, because that would double-count your resting metabolism.
Common questions
My goal didn't go up after a workout. Active-calories read access may be off, "Adjust goal for activity" may be off, or your data source may provide only total calories instead of active calories.
I see "Beweging 0" / activity 0 on Android even though I exercised. Your activity data probably comes only from Google Fit. Moveno reads "Active Calories" from Health Connect.
Why is my goal higher than the number I set? It's adjusted for today's activity.
I don't want my goal to change with activity. Turn off "Adjust goal for activity". You'll then use a fixed goal.
My burned calories look capped. There's a safety ceiling of +1,500 kcal per day from activity.
