Your profile photo and display name
Last updated
Personalize your account with a profile photo and a display name in your settings.
You can add a profile photo (avatar) using your camera or photo library, and change or remove it any time. You can also edit your display name.
How it works
- Go to Settings (via your profile photo in the top right).
- Tap your avatar (or the placeholder icon). An action sheet appears with: Choose from library, Take a photo, and — if you already have one — Remove photo.
- Pick a source. The photo is compressed and uploaded automatically.
- To change your name, open the name editor in Settings, type your display name, and save.
- To remove your photo, tap the avatar and choose Remove photo.
Good to know
- Avatar requirements: max 400x400 pixels, under 200 KB, JPEG or PNG only. Moveno compresses your photo automatically so it fits.
- Avatars are stored securely in the EU and validated server-side (only real image files are accepted).
- The display falls back in three levels: your photo, then your initials in a colored circle, then a generic person icon.
- Avatar uploads are limited to 3 per minute and 10 per hour.
- Removing your photo reverts you to your initials or the default icon.
- You can leave your display name blank — Moveno then shows your initials or the default icon.
Common questions
My photo won't upload. Only JPEG and PNG are accepted. Very large images are auto-compressed, but unusual formats are rejected.
Too many upload attempts. Wait a minute; uploads are limited per minute and per hour.
My old photo still shows. The app updates once the upload is confirmed. Pull down to refresh or reopen Settings.
How do I delete my photo entirely? Tap the avatar and choose Remove photo.
