Review, edit, and save a meal
Last updated
Whether you take a photo, scan a barcode, search by name, or enter food by hand, you always land on the same results screen. There you confirm the items, set the meal type, and save.
How it works
- On the results screen, review each recognized or added item.
- Adjust portions (slider or gram pill) or counts (+/− stepper) as needed.
- Set the meal type with the pill at the top-right: breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack.
- Optionally expand items to edit the nutrition, view the source, or delete an item.
- Tap Save (the button shows the meal's total calories) to log the meal.
- To change a logged meal later, open the Food Diary, tap the meal to edit it, or swipe left to delete it (a confirmation prevents accidents).
Good to know
- The meal types are breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack.
- When you save, Moveno stores a full nutrition snapshot per item, so your historical log stays accurate even if database data changes later.
- Your daily summary (total calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, meals logged) recalculates automatically after you save, edit, or delete.
- If you're offline, the save is queued and syncs automatically when you reconnect — a notification confirms it's done.
- Editing or deleting a meal recalculates that day's totals.
Common questions
I picked the wrong meal type. Open the meal in the Food Diary and change the type.
I want to delete a logged meal. Swipe left on it in the Food Diary and confirm.
I logged offline and don't see the totals update. It syncs when you reconnect; you'll get a confirmation notification.
My edits didn't change the daily total. The summary recalculates after saving; reopen the dashboard if needed.
