Create or join a group

Start your own private group or join a friend's or family member's — it all revolves around one unique 6-character code.

A group is shared via a unique 6-character invite code (uppercase letters and digits, for example ZHY6NE). Whoever creates the group becomes the owner; anyone who enters the code becomes a member. Both creating and joining are available during your 14-day free trial and on a paid plan.

How it works — creating a group

1. Tap the people icon in the dashboard header to open the Groups overview.
2. Choose to create a new group.
3. Enter a group name (1 to 50 characters).
4. Confirm — you become the owner and Moveno automatically generates a 6-character code.
5. Open the invite screen to view and share the code with the people you want to join.

How it works — joining a group

1. Get the 6-character code from the owner or another member.
2. Tap the people icon in the dashboard header.
3. Choose to join a group.
4. Enter the code and confirm — you'll now see the Leaderboard, Feed, and Members tabs.

Good to know

• The 6-character code is generated automatically; you can't choose or rename it.
• Codes are case-insensitive when entered but display in uppercase.
• You can be in up to 10 groups at once (shown as N/10).
• Creating and joining are limited to a few times per minute to prevent spam.
• Your existing, previously logged meals are not shared retroactively — only meals you log after joining (and choose to share) appear in the feed.
• When you create or join, you record how sharing works, including that meals can go to the feed by default, and how to limit or stop it.

Common questions

Where do I find my invite code? Open the group, then the invite screen, to view and share the 6-character code.

The code doesn't work or says "not found". Double-check all 6 characters. A wrong, expired, or deleted group always returns the same generic message, so the existence of groups can't be probed.

Will my old meals be shared once I join? No — sharing only applies to meals you log after joining, and only when you choose to share them.

I get an error after several attempts. Creating and joining are rate-limited per minute. Wait a moment and try again.
